The Baekdudaegan Global Seed Vault (BGSV) is a state-controlled national security facility located in Bonghwa-gun, North Gyeongsang Province, Republic of Korea.
The seed storage room can store up to 2 million seed accessions.
Equipped with a temperature and humidity control system, the seed storage room maintains a temperature of minus 20 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of 40% throughout the year.

The Black Box System is for storing deposited seeds and it uses standardized storage containers.
Once seeds are placed and sealed in the Black Box, it cannot be opened.
When sealing the Black Box, a security label is used, and both the label and the box are managed with identification numbers.
